Office of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Affairs

The Office of GLBT Affairs serves as a liaison to the Executive Office of the Mayor, and other Government Agencies that provide constituent services and community outreach. The office of GLBT affairs also provides information on policy and research issues that affect the local GLBT residents of the District of Columbia.

This office serves as a spokesperson on behalf of the Mayor to the larger GLBT community and to provide access to GLBT residents in the District of Columbia to our government.

GLBT Affairs' top priority is to establish the Mayor's GLBT Executive Advisory Committee and a GLBT Sub-Committee to define issues of concern to the GLBT community, and find innovative ways of utilizing government resources to help address these issues.
