Welcome Letter

Welcome to the Mayor’s Office of Community Relations and Services. Our office was created by Mayor Adrian M. Fenty to serve as the primary constituent services organization for his administration. Our staff assists the city government in providing coordinated and scheduled delivery of high-quality basic services for the District of Columbia’s residents, visitors, business owners and neighborhoods.

Our Outreach and  Services Specialists (OSS) work with residents, nonprofits, organizations, and DC government agencies to ensure that your requests are responded to promptly in an effort to meet Mayor Fenty’s vision that all communities are safe, clean, healthy and economically-vibrant. The OSS also attend community meetings to gather your input on events and issues which impact the quality of life for all District constituents. All of the meetings our coordinators attend can be viewed on our calendar.

I hope that you will use this website to find out what the Mayor’s Office of Community Relations and Services is doing in your community. This website will teach you how our office is positioned to assist you and your neighbors reduce crime, remove abandoned autos, identify vacant and abandoned properties, control rats, remove graffiti, and solve other problems. Our newsroom stories are also a vital part of our site.

On behalf on my staff, we look forward to working with you to make the District of Columbia a city that works for everyone.

Sincerely,

Sarah Latterner, Director
